This weekend we headed out to go to Cedar Point for our anniversary. We've been there 3 times together, and we've been together for 3 years, so we definitely go a lot but we've decided to stay away for at least 5 years. It's not that we didn't have fun - we did. The rides are so amazing there, but the people just get worse and worse with each passing year. The line waits weren't terrible, but the people we had to wait in line with were the worst. Like.. weekend ruining, the worst. But we got to go on all our favorite rides: The Raptor, Max-Air, Wicked Twister, Millenium Force, Maverick (our favorite), Mean Streak, Sky-Hawk, Magnum XL and Top Thrill Dragster (twice)! So the rides were a lot of fun; the weather turned out great (except maybe just a tad hot) But our hotel was 30 minutes away in a boring town, so next time we go we're going to try to get a hotel at the park. But I've been on a people-hater streak since being there, I'm so happy sitting in solitude right now!

So day number 2, we went to Soak City instead. We had already gotten through the rides on day 1, and it was 90 degrees, so we thought the water park sounded fun. And it was. The slides were fun. But the long-ass lines of having to look at other people's hairy gross bodies, with mile-long yellow toenails, missing teeth, fat rolls and realize you're getting into the same water that they are soaking their bodies in. Hahaha, ewww. So we rode a few slides, went around the lazy river, hung out in the wave pool and decided to go to the main park. Well we rode a couple rides and realized it was so entirely hot, like unbearable hot, so we went back to the water park, rode a few more rides and called it a day. Fun trip, probably not worth the lots of money it cost, and we'll say goodbye for at least 5 years. We're going to try to take a weekend for our anniversary every year, and next year we're going to go someplace more secluded. We're thinking somewhere like pictured rocks.
