Monday night, I picked up Jon and Amber in Spring Lake to bring them back to Grand Rapids to hang out with Brett and I. It was seriously a blast. I had such a great time. Jon and Brett have been friends since they were little kids, and I felt like I picked right up on their connection, like I had known both Jon and Amber for years. I was super comfortable around both of them, and honestly it was one of the best nights I've had with friends in a really long time. It's so nice being able to talk honestly with a married couple. And laugh about the dumb married things that go on. We went to Ritz Koney to eat dinner, decided to destroy our bodies (see septum piercing post) and it was so fun. We rented a movie, watched it and we dropped them back off. So great to get to know them and to hang out. It's such a bummer they live in Manhattan, Kansas. I can definitely see us spending more time with them.
