Mac Wood's Dune Ride

Brett and I told Peter to meet us at Brett's parents in Grand Haven, because we wanted to surprise him with a trip up north to Mac Wood's. Brett told Peter along the way (grr!) so Peter wasn't surprised when we got there, but we got our tickets and got our seats on the dune buggy. We told Peter to sit on the edge because it's a cooler seat for viewing (strategically we placed him there to get soaked, muaaha!) It was a lot of fun - the dune rides are always fun.

Dancing on the Grand

Wednesday, we met up with Steve, Sarah, Nash, Jason, April, Jaime, Josh and a bunch of other people to go dancing in Grand Haven. It was such a blast. Most of us sat on the bleachers just cracking up at Brett and Steve dancing together down there. So much fun. Summer is off to a great start!

Bridal Shower

On Sunday, we had my bridal shower which turned out fantastic. We had great weather. My Mom did such a great job decorating, making the food, and cleaning and organizing everything. We had a pretty good turn out too. I felt proud to have people come for me - and Brett too. We got some awesome gifts. I'm excited to get to use them - and maybe exchange a few to get better ones :) I'm excited. I can't wait to get moved into our new place.

Rick's Birthday!

Well this past weekend was fantastic. On Saturday, it was Brett's Dad's birthday - so they had Jeff, Tiffaney, Ava and Grandma over to eat dinner. We had steaks and potatoes - and sat outside and it was so great. After dinner, the guys went in the side yard and played catch while us girls sat out in the shaded back yard watching Ava and chattin about the wedding and what not. I felt married. It was so great. After the guys were done playing catch - they came and sat down and Rick opened his gifts and we had cheesecake. Brett and I were sitting on the chair together and he was being so husbandy cute. Brett and I were so excited and had a really great day. We got to hold Ava and she kept smiling at Brett- and it was so entirely adorable. I loved it. She's so chubby and cute. After a while - we took off and headed to the movie theater to watch Surfs up with Jen & Ryan (our future married friends!) It was a great night overall.
