I think USCIS should substitute permanent labor not the date to be fair, because substituting date makes an individual jump the line.

USPS won't do it for ever. But GC will surely take for ever.
I guess you already know but can't help to remind this :
USPS has a system of mail-forwarding. After leaving your old-address, if you notify USPS, USPS will continue to forward all your first class mails to your new address specified by you. You can do it Online @ usps.com... I guess they charge $1 for verifying your address from the CC address, if you do it online(which I did).
So, NO, your mails will not be lost!

Well, thanks all for your responses, but I am as cfused as I was before I posted the question. Do any of you have any sources to back your claims. I know for sure that worldwide income has to be reported, so thanks for that clarification desi3933. But do you have a source that mentions that a person on H4 can for sure work outside. I have received an EAD (I-140 Approved) for future employment through a company that I never worked for. Can I use AC21 to port the GC process to the current employer? Does the current employer need to file a new LC/140?

I have applied for my I485 last month and received receipt numbers this week. At the time I consulted my company lawyer and he said it is possible apply from your wife's company for both of us and when USCIS gets to approving one application they will ask other one to be withdrawn.
The reason I asked and agreed to do so was manily because of the VERY unstable condition our my job. My wife's job is more stable than mine.
Now we are try to apply from my wife's company, her lawyer is saying that we can not have more than one I485 pending, had I known this - it more based on interpretation from the lawyers I would not have applied for my application just applied for my wife's.
Hoping that nothing may happen should I drop the idea of applying for I485 from my wife's company. Although my hope line is too thin.
My question is has any on in similar situation applied for 2 I485s. I am really confused as my lawyer says that it is possible and my wife's lawyer says it is not possible to have 2 pending I485 applications..

What do you mean by 4 part payments?
Here is the scenario
Lets say I have Rs 100,000 principal loan and I can make 4 payments of Rs 22,000 (4X22,000= 88,000) and tells ICICI bank to span rest of Rs. 12,000 (100,000-88,000=12000) in 13 EMI.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Also note - you are allowed only 4 part payments in a year. Especially with ICICI bank. So plan carefully. That way you are left with only 13 EMI's with a smaller amount.

If I think from company's point of view then what they are doing is that they are cutting down their liabilities. If they put you on LOA they would have to pay for insurance and other benefits. I dont know if its right to read too much between the lines.
I guess you'll have to wait till October to find out. However, if they apply for your H1 in April then I wouldnt worry because no company would just flush $3000 if they dont intend to hire you.

States accumulate spill over from Q1 to Q3 but doesnot apply. Those extra visas will not be given to any one .. Once gone from quarter then it cannot be given to any one. In last quarter it will go to Eb2 India.

I currently have found a similar job but havent filed AC21 papers yet. I am now hesitating to travel as something happens to my 485 when I am out of the country there is not much that can be done.

a) H1 Revoked aug 28th
b) Address changed
c) AC21 not filed
I am thinking of not travelling. Am I overreacting here ?
You mentioned emergency in your post. If there is a medical issue regarding a near-dear family member or a really important event (may be immediate family members wedding) then you should go. These are more important things in life. Believe it or not when you look back that this in future you will regret the decision of not going if its truely an emergency.
Most likely nothing will happen. Just take the offer letter with you from the new company descibing that your new job duties are similar to old one and also take copy of AC21 law.

All: I applied for advance parole on Feb -9 , delivered Feb -11. I filed under new fees structure and hence I am exempt from fees. I clearly mentioned that in the letter. However, till date I have received no receipt. How should I handle this?

Now we are awaiting to see if the Advance Parole is approved. Incidentally fingerprinting was also required and we had been to the ASC center for fingerprinting this past friday. The FP notice came after the AP package was received by USCIS. I believe they are running FP as a normal turn of events when applying for FP for most individuals if not all.
