What is this kid doing on the computer alone in the first place? Doesn't his parents know about the dangers lurking on the web?! ;)
I have to agree.
People need face the consequences of their actions on the internets... maybe then they'll learn

Can you name a few more? I have only seen Sony support AAC on their PMP devices.
Zune HD for one.
The Sansa Fuze+ line too. Creative Zen, Archos, Sonos, Squeezbox.

I would've bought the white iPhone if Apple had put it on the shelves at release, but now that its April, I've decided to wait for the fifth-gen iPhone... Hopefully they won't have any problems with that one

FireFox already lets you drag tabs around-why not Safari?
And with phishing-a phishing filterl, like in IE7 would be good to have for .Mac users in Safari.
Mail already has a phishing filter you will see a pop-up that shows you the actual URL that you will be taken to.

1-click orders on Amazon can be changed for an hour or so, and returned officially. I had this happen to me too... I was reading the app description and accidentally swiped against buy. I got a refund, and a warning that Apple was making an exception and to be more careful :(
It soured me to the App Store experience for sure... the lack of any confirmation whatsoever

Is it just me or does anyone else think that if a company never uses a patent it should go pub domain after x number of years? This is tantamount to cyber squatting IMHO.
Who gives a crap if you thought up a great idea if all you are going to do is sit on it and never use it.
Complaints aside. Its a cool idea.

We disagree.
Also, she admitted to being intoxicated at the time, this probably caused the more exaggerated nature. I've seen someone fitting while intoxicated at a night club, it was comparable.

I can only suggest you look at the history of other nations, it happens quite often that complete economic systems collapse. Try Mexico, Argentina, Germany or any war torn nation. In these nations those with gold maintained their wealth, those without had to start from scratch.
Its insurance, just in case...for example when all the things I listed happen at once like they are in the USA right now.
Well said!:)

just to clear up the confusion, is this a legal or technical restriction? Can you still do this with the basic edition technically, but illegally. Or are there technical restrictions being applied?
No one will know that until they try installing Windows on a VM.
And, yes, the detection of a VM is simple, given a handful of VM vendors: just look for the VM "hardware" signatures they use. On activation, if any matching hardware is found, pop up a dialog stating "This license of Windows is not applicable to a virtual machine, such as <Parallels or VMWare or Virtual PC>. Activation failed. Please see www.microsoft.com/suckyoudry to enhance your license to allow activation on this virtual machine."
That is precisely what Activation is for: detecting invalid hardware (usually, hardware on which this copy of Windows was not activated, but in thi case also VM hardware) and stopping full use of the product on it. We can't say for certain that they will do this until it happens or someone from MS breaks the code of silence regarding this issue. But they certainly have the means to do it.

If Lion does give you the ability to emulate iOS apps on your Mac....
How do you control them? A touch-screen iMac is a non-starter because of the "Frankenstein Posture", not to mention the smudges on the screen. A touch-screen laptop wouldn't be much better. I don't like the lying-down-iMac like in that recent patent, but maybe that's just me.
The Magic Trackpad is already a touchscreen, just with no display behind it. What if a new one came out with a display and some kind of ARM processor? (It could be an old, really cheap onethe Mac would be doing the heavy lifting.) You could pretend it was an iDevice, download apps for it, interact with them on the trackpad while the main display mirrored what you were doing.
Building the same functionality into laptop trackpads would be a later step, if this caught on, but wouldn't such a Magic Trackpad be an iDevice: "iX", associated with a "Mac", that they just haven't thought up a name for yet? It would debut this summer with Lion, to take advantage of the fusion between iOS and OS X.

Hopefully the ifixit teardown will reveal if there is a 2nd bay accessible for manually adding an SSD if I choose the 1TB option, I want to just put a 128GB or even a 64GB SSD just for applications and the system and store music/movies/photos/docs on the 1TB. I have my windows desktop setup this way with a 64GB and it is wonderful, I don't want to pay $600 to get a 256GB SSD plus 1TB.

Watch, it probably really means it instantly voids the MS support part of the Vista purchase for that license.
Would be just peachy that Apple offers zero support for running Vista on a Mac, and MS does the same for those doing it via virtualization.
Probably forsee a support headache coming down the path. :p
That's what Paul Thurrott thought, too. (See his response above.)
In any event, Apple wouldn't support Windows running via any method on a Mac.
However, in the Boot Camp scenario, any support available from Microsoft with any version of Vista would still be available.

Here in the Netherlands we have Sinterklaas, he comes to us first by steamship, and then on a white horse. It is that important that the TV shows him arriving direct, plus tens of thousands are on the quayside.
Gifts are given on the 5th December
Yeah. Every child grows up with Sinterklaas. You can see it as Santa, only this one comes from Spain by boat.(according to the old tradition:D). Most children stop believing in the real existence of Sinterklaas at the age of 9 or 10. But it's always a lot of fun, though.
Sinterklaas comes with a lot of special candy as well. Pepernoten (literally translated it means Peppernuts) and chocolate letters.
Oh, I almost forgot. ontopic:
I really do wish to get my SSD inside my iMac 27" mid-2010 model. That's the only thing. I don't really dare to do it myself, so I still need to find a way.

Many get garbage 3G speeds on AT&T in many areas anyway, so what's the point of having a 4G iPhone that GSM provider (insert AT&T) in the US can't even support on a mass basis?
Theoretically, the 4G LTE iPhone would work great in countries not named the United States of America.
59% of Apple's revenue comes from international markets.
