I am amazed as to why we have not seen a single "imac 2011 leak" ... pics of the new imac .. pics of the box ? etc like with the iphones lol .... i'm going to be seriously depressed if i go to apple.com/uk tomorrow and still see that white iphone on there ... seriously
ps - i just noticed i am no longer a macrumor newbie - I am a regular now .. woo hoo
that is exactly what I am wondering...why are there no leaked pics of boxes etc! like with the MBP

I love the Macbook Air but I would hate it if they released a new one. Especially since this was only out in 10/2010.

Battery drain still here.
BlowJobs always says that battery is crucial and that is why they miss implementing things just so that matter can be improved... Well what a lame excuse cause batt is draining like **** anyway.

white iphone is ugly late and unnecessary so apple can keep it.. they never made it cause demand was always lower for white ones and the white design look worse on iphone 4 than on 3gs..

Really? How come I never saw anything like the iPhone GUI before 2007.
Or are you suggesting Apple invented the smart phone :D
They did not invent it but dam they made it hip and cool which if you look around has everyone doing the "Me Too" dance. :)

You really believe that failing to log out should be a $1000 mistake? For an app they'll never use? What if the app cost $10,000? $100,000? $1 million?
You'd still need a credit card linked to the account. If I tried to charge a $1,000 app over iTunes, the purchase would be declined. The person must first make a decision to authorize a purchase that is considered to be large, then link that credit card to iTunes, and then to secure that information or not.
If I leave $1,000 in cash on the street in front of my house, should I blame the government for not helping me when that money gets taken? Of course not, because it's my fault for leaving something valuable and recognizable where I knew that it could be taken.
Likewise, if you cracked my iTunes account password and tried to run up some big charges, you wouldn't get very far. I take the responsibility of reducing my risk by not leaving a large line of credit available where a simple mishandling of my electronic account information could result in a detrimental financial liability.

I am sure any plans to launch it have been scrapped and this is just a left over prototype. You know Apple has a history of planning for every contingency, I am sure there are Sprint iPhones ready to go also. If Apple decides to release them they would be ready to go.
I very much hope Apple will have a Sprint phone -- I'll buy one that works on Sprint.

So you've waited this long for the white iPhone 4, then you put it in the case!? ROFL!
Agreed, why would you put a case around an iPhone 4 - you trying to make it UGLY, most cases just scratch the back of th ephone anyway as dust/dirt gets in there and just rubs between the case and the phone.
Waiting all this time for a white iPhone only to cover it up - DUH!

I don't understand one thing. Why can't Apple confirm this themselves? That way people will at least know what they can do. Either you wait or you move onto to another device.

I want mine to use the old-school Mac voice that Radiohead used in "Fitter Happier."
Good ol' Fred is still there, from what I've read elsewhere. "... a pig, in a cage, on antibiotics." :D
edit:corrected the lyric :p

this is just microsofts way to stick it to the mac user who wants to use dual booting. not those who will use boot camp?
anyway you look at it, this is lame. Can't we just pay them and they accept our money? Now they will tell us it isn't enough, we have to pay more.
screw ms, people can't get a break FROM THESE LOSERS~!!

Are people still thinking this is coming out next week? There haven't been any other updates since this story was released and I'm starting to doubt it's going to happen on Tuesday. I'd love to know what GPU the 27" is going to have.
iMac is due, but having doubts about next Tues now since Apple is still shipping current models within 24 hours.

Could this be the eventual end of usb altogether?
Unlikely. USB still retains advantages in ubiquity, cost and far more devices supported per connection (128 vs 16). I would see WiFi and Bluetooth as bigger USB competitors.

Staff should have intervened, and taken the victim to safety. This would have prevented the second episode, which lead to victim fitting.
Looks like serious professional failures there. There should have been someone who is first-aid trained there to deal with the casualty fitting.
I'd say that all present staff undergo mandatory retraining.
From McD:
We strongly condemn the videotaped assault in one of our Baltimore franchised restaurants.
There's no room for violence under the Golden Arches.
Appropriate action regarding other employees will take place as warranted.
Action has been taken, and the crew member who made the video is no longer employed by this organization.
First and foremost, our thoughts are with the victim during this time.
The incident in Baltimore is sad and reprehensible. We are doing everything possible to make sure the right thing will be done.
We are shocked by the video from a Baltimore restaurant showing an assault. This incident is unacceptable, disturbing and troubling.
We are aware of the incident in Baltimore and are working with local police in their criminal investigation.

Bin Laden was the figurehead of the organization. Him dead is still a blow to Al-Qaeda. Was he in charge anymore probably not but it is still a big deal that he is dead.
Bin Laden was more than the figurehead of Al Qaeda, he was the money guyworking on fund-raising and logistical support. Bin Laden was never a fighter, in fact some of the Taliban thought very little of him until he proved to be a valuable source of funding and weaponry. However, the events of 9/11 made him a folk hero and a figurehead of Al Qaeda.
People's perception of reality matters more in these situations than actual reality. The fact that the average guy in the street probably still thinks/thought of him as the head of al-Qaeda is the important part.
I agree. I also think that his presence in Islamabad, rather than in a small village in the border region, indicates that Bin Laden might have been more in charge of operations in the last few years than we thought. While Al Qaeda has become diffuseAl Qaeda in Iraq shares its name and ideology, but is for all intents and purposes a separate organizationthe death of Bin Laden might complicate recruiting. Al Qaeda no longer has its invincible hero.
On the other hand, it has gained a martyr. Additionally, this may make Pakistan much more dangerous for US interests. Al Qaeda and its supporters will undoubtedly make the Pakistani government pay for this.
Lastly, wonder if this was connected to what Raymond Davis was up to? He was in Lahore, but was the CIA in the midst of working on a serious lead when Davis was nearly intercepted by ISI agents?
I expect to see more fractionalization among the ISI and Pakistan's government.
