We're engaged! Yesterday, Brett was being entirely sneaky and I could definitely tell something was up, but I had NO idea he was going to propose last night. Well... we came back to Grand Haven and he was driving, and I'm like "What are we doing?" and he goes "Driving." And then he turns into the parking lot and we go on the pier (it was freezing!) I thought it was suspicous but still didn't think anything. We got to the end and he was like, "You ready to go" and I'm like oh... and then I'm like, "Yep are you?" and he goes "no..." and I turn toward him and he gets down on one knee and gosh I don't even remember but it was something like,"I love you. Will you marry me?" or "I want you to marry me." or gosh, I don't know. It seems like everytime Brett says something it just all blurs together because I'm not believing it and I'm just so overfilled with happiness. It was so dark behind the lighthouse, so I didn't see the ring box right away, but I touched my hand to it and was like "Really?! Yes!!" and then we hugged and kissed and were like, "Let's get out of here, it's cold!" I giggled the whole way back on the walk. And giggled some more. The ring is so delicate and pretty and simple. I love it so much.
We went back home and we walked in the door and Brett goes, "Well, guess what" and his Dad instantly looks at my finger! And then Brett goes, "We're engaged!" and then Brett's Dad gets up and hugs me and says congratulations and then Brett's mom gets up from the couch and looks at my ring and hugs me! They were smiling and it was so cute. I couldn't even sleep last night I was so excited. Sarge came up and slept with me all night. I'm inheriting two kids! =] Brett also called Jeff and Tiffaney and Tiffaney was like "I love Tieka!" and then Jeff told Brett that the first day he met me, he knew I was the one for him. I love Brett so entirely much. I honestly cannot believe this. AT ALL. <3
